Corporate Universities and Training
Many organizations seek to improve the knowledge and abilities of their employees by providing corporate training, either through instructor-led classes or e-learning. Such sessions might be focused on giving employees the tools and skills necessary to perform a specific job function. Or, they might be broader in scope, like providing a management trainee program to prepare current employees to take on a leadership role in the future. The curriculum used in either or both of these formats may provide employees with exposure to college-level coursework, which may be transferable to your degree program at Strayer University.
How do I request credit for the corporate training I have completed?
If your training has been reviewed by the American Council on Education (ACE), request an ACE transcript or other documentation from your corporation. Although your corporation may be different, training history is most often maintained by the human resource or corporate training department. Transcripts must include course title, credit hours or CEUs, and proof of successful completion.
Provide the documents to your admissions officer, who will send them to Strayer University’s Transcript Evaluation Center for official review. You will receive a copy of your evaluation in the mail. You may also obtain a copy of your evaluation at the campus at anytime through the Admissions or Academic Offices, or you may view the results through your Online Academic Record.
If your organization has an educational alliance with Strayer University, your internal training may have been evaluated for college credit, even if the training has not been reviewed by ACE. If a corporate training course or program has not been previously reviewed by the American Council of Education (ACE) or, in a few cases, by Strayer University directly, you will be asked to apply for credit through Strayer University’s Experiential Learning Portfolio process.
Policies and procedures governing granting of credit for Corporate Training
Evaluation of licenses and certifications is conducted by the Transcript Evaluation Center in accordance with University policy.
